This Investigation gives students experiences with rational numbers, ordering numbers, and informal operation computations in a variety of contexts.
Investigation 1.2 -
This Investigation uses temperature measurement to extend number lines to include negative numbers. Students estimate values of positive and negative points on a number line. They develop informal strategies for comparing, ordering, and locating numbers and their opposites on a number line.
There is a high focus on inequalities We went over notes explaining how to graph these on a number line.
