We jumped right into our routines today. On Wednesdays, we start with a check-in of our weekly skills sheet. There was some great discussion as students have already begun to shake off their summer rust and dive into mathematics.
We also looked at some challenge work that everyone could do at least a part of. We hope that throughout the year, all students will take a stab at challenge work from time to time. You can do it!
Lastly, we continued our theme of getting our math brains back in school mode by converting benchmark fractions into decimals and percents. The class work was filled with remembering procedures and sharing strategies.
